Coventry is fully committed to working with their broker and agent partners to help your clients learn more about the Medicare products available through Coventry Health Care. Appointment Information

How to get appointed with Coventry:

All agents must complete the Coventry paperwork and return it to AHCP's contracting department.

After completing all contracting forms, complete your certifcation through Coventry. You will not receive an agent number until you have completed the online certifications.

How to get certified with Coventry:

1. Go to: http://coventry-medicare.coventryhealthcare.com/agents-brokers/index.htm
2. Click on the right hand side on the page in the tan box that says broker portal.
3. The next page will let you register as a new broker and will request an access code.
4. To certify with all Coventry products, use this code: MAPD- PY0Z4 (all capital letters & the 0 is a zero)
5. To certify for only the Part D use the code: SMM5T (all capital letters)
6. After you get logged in, click on the Training and Compliance tab, on the left hand side of the page.
7. Begin your certifications.

How long does it take to get appointed?
It takes 10-14  business days after submitting your online contract to become appointed.

Adding Non-Resident Appointments
Agents should provide their non-resident license copies to AHCP with a request to add the appointment to their Coventry record.

Adding a Corporation
Coventry will appoint a corporation as long as the corporation is licensed in each state the agent intends to sell insurance in. The agent should complete the Coventry New Agent appointment packet providing the Corporation’s information.


Coventry Carrier Back Office "Broker Portal"

  1. Go to www.coventry-medicare.coventryhealthcare.com
  2. Click on "Broker Portal" on the top right.
  3. On the right hand side click on "Broker Portal"
  4. AHCP agents should register with the access code given to you by your upline.
  5. Login to the back office.

Check application status

To check the status of your submitted applications…

    1. Log in to the broker portal.
    2. On the broker portal home page, click the link 'app tracker'.
    3. This tracker allows agents to access information on their contracting status, production, enrollment and commission information.


Coventry Commission Information

Who processes commission- AHCP or the carrier?

AHCP processes Coventry's commissions internally. The agent must list AHCP as the General Agent of record on every application. Commission statements are stored in the eAgentCenter.

Advance option details, including interest

3 or 6-month advance, no interest. A one-time 3% admin fee will be charged on the gross advance amount.

Commission Cycle

New Business Commissions

Commissions are paid when a member's premium is collected and posted by Coventry. New business commissions are processed weekly.

Earned commission cycle

Earned commission and renewals are processed once a month, the middle of the following month.
