Q & A

It is to be expected that this announcement prompts many questions. We have anticipated some of them and provided answers below. If, however, you still have more questions, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 877-228-8773 Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 6:00 pm EST.

Q: How will I quote and submit applications?

A: You may continue to use the same platform(s) you currently use, whether that’s Quotit, AgentCubed, or the carrier’s own exchange. You will not need to make any changes or update your login credentials.

Q: What will happen to my carrier contracts and commissions?

A: All of your carrier contracts and commission levels will remain intact and unchanged. You will be able to access more of your personal commission statements and book of business data in e-Agent Center, the agent back-office platform available to all National General independent health brokers. More information about how to access your account will be forthcoming.

Q: What other changes can I expect?

A: You will continue to receive outstanding broker support to assist you with questions about products, commissions and your enrollment platforms including Quotit and AgentCubed. Additionally, you’ll have access to a consolidated lead platform and ongoing product and sales training to help make 2017 your best year ever.

Q: How can I access new carrier appointments?

A: We offer a comprehensive selection of carrier appointments including Medicare carriers, health and supplemental carriers, and of course all of the National General insurance products. Contracting can be accessed here. We support online contract submissions for most carriers, allowing quick completion of all required documents, convenient e-signatures, file uploads, and one-button submission.

Q: What types of health products are available from National General.

A: Through its various underwriting entities, National General provides the following types of coverage:

  • Short Term Medical
  • Inpatient / Outpatient Fixed Indemnity
  • Accident Medical Expense and Accident Fixed Indemnity
  • Cancer, Heart & Stroke
  • Critical Illness
  • AME Plan Enhancer (with Cancer/Heart/Stroke and Sickness Inpatient riders)

Q: What happens to my pending carrier appointments?

A: We will continue processing all outstanding appointments that are in a pending status. Our broker support team will provide status updates and coordinate any outstanding requirements if needed.

Q: Will I still be able to submit my Medicare Gap and Medicare Advantage applications directly to a case submissions team or will I send them directly to the appropriate carrier?

A: If this something that helps you manage your business, we will continue to provide support to facilitate submission and follow-up on your applications.
